We Can Do This All Day: The Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. Experience
It’s a magical moment when you’re a young movie fan, and you’re so into the film you’re watching that you can’t help but to imagine yourself inhabiting that world. Whether it’s The Neverending Story, or The Lord of the Rings, or a Harry Potter movie, the idea of being able to immerse yourself in that rich world seems like a dream. Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. is a new type of experience that allows you the rare chance to experience just that: to immerse yourself in the very same world that fills up our silver screens every summer.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe may be a prickly subject when it comes to the cinephile sphere, with infinite dialogue on it being offered in the comment section of any article covering the too-common occurrence of a director being asked his opinion on the box office dynamite that is the MCU. But what is undeniable is that the House of Mouse has created a powerful force that has captured a young generation’s imagination. Their ability to build up the lore and world of a hero has been proven time and time and time again. While recent entries like Shang Chi or Eternals are venturing in what is being called Phase Four, Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. is an exhibit showcasing some of your favourite characters, moments and propers from the first three phases.
Beyond just showing you the incredible detail and care that went into translating the Marvel world from the comic book to the big screen, the exhibit takes on the admirable job of exploring the “real” science that holds the fictional universe together. Whether you want to know more about the Infinity Stones or are just curious about Natasha Romanoff’s electric batons, every room, every space has been carefully curated in this exhibit.
As if seeing Captain America’s shield or Black Panther’s detailed costume wasn’t enough, throughout the location you will find interactive experiences that can range from quizzes testing your ability to remember which hero used which weapon, to VR-like games allowing you to inhabit the legendary Hulkbuster armor.
The location and props are elevated by the staff who commit to the fantasy and take every opportunity to dazzle you with their knowledge of all movies (and an incredible amount of behind the scene tidbits!).
