AMP Highlights + Collectibles - March 7th

Welcome to AMP Highlights + Collectibles, a short sum up of the best, vinyl, posters, stickers, and toys of pop culture released this past week.

This week we are highlighting a some Batman collectibles, a horror poster and a ghost busting machine.

THE BATMAN & BAT SIGNAL - SIXTH SCALE FIGURE HOT TOYS

The Batman has finally been released this past week (it’s fantastic, I saw it on Saturday) and with it comes the inevitable merchandising. However we aren’t just talking about the McDonald’s happy meal toys that got pulled because Batman Returns was too graphic, these are the collectibles for an older audience. Enter the 1/6 scale Batman and Bat signal from Hot Toys. This collectible comes with a slew of extras including a variety of head sculpts and a recreation of the Bat Signal from the film. You can pick up the pre order of the piece here. And while his motorcycle hasn’t been released yet it is sure to come, so keep an eye out for that one as well. You can preorder it here.

MIDSOMMAR - JAY GORDAN

A fantastic piece by Jay Gordon, this really encapsulates the horror of the movie. Spoilers that it doesn’t really turn out well for our friends visiting the festival, as shown on this poster. I also love the inclusion of the original artwork in the movie hidden in the background. Jay clearly put a ton of thought into this and it shows. Unfortunately this was a private commission so it isn’t for sale to the public but maybe you can track one down in the aftermarket.

ECTO 1 (GHOSTBUSTERS AFTERLIFE) - BLITZWAY

An almost 2.0 version from the ECTO-1 released last year, this massive collectible has finally been released after being teased for the past few months. This thing is for the real collectors not only becuase of its size but also it’s price. However if you really love Ghostbusters and you have the space you need to pick this one up. You can pre order it off of Blitzway’s website here.
