The People’s Republic of Beyond Fest is back for 2021 and bigger than ever. The ten-day genre film festival based in Los Angeles has released their line-up for this year’s festivities. Beyond Fest is first and foremost a celebration of film, genre, and the manic minds behind them. You haven’t lived until you’ve been hit in the face with a t-shirt from a t-shirt gun or a DVD from Shout Factory. After their 2020 sold-out run at the Mission Tiki, a local drive-in theater, Beyond Fest is back in theaters with 39 films, shorts, and most importantly, Q&A’s with the best in the business.

Like years past, this year’s line-up is full of insane premieres, including the West Coast premieres of Titane (dir. Julia Ducournau) and Lamb (dir. Valdimar Jóhannsson), and the US premiere of Halloween Kills (dir. David Gordon Green), and iconic films like Collateral and Thief with Michael Mann in attendance. The film festival also highlights short films from up-and-coming directors and writers with three shorts blocks to choose from.

Thanks to Shudder and IFC, over half of the festivals programming will be free to attendees including films like The Autopsy of Jane Doe, The Babadook, and a super-secret free screening from legendary director, XXXX XXXXXXXXX!
